Humpback grouper (Cromileptes altivelis) is a high-value marine species with great aquaculture potential but faces challenges such as low survival rates and inefficient feed utilization during grow-out in floating net cages. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of an integrated feeding strategy and health management protocol to improve growth performance and survival in floating net cages in Lampung Bay. A field experiment was conducted using a combination of trash fish enriched with multivitamins and high-protein pellets, along with biweekly freshwater immersion to control parasites without antibiotics. Results showed a mean absolute growth of 2.4 cm in length and 97.2 g in weight over 22 days, a feed conversion ratio of 3.5, and a feed efficiency of 28.33%. Remarkably, a 100% survival rate was achieved, supported by stable water quality parameters within optimal ranges for grouper culture. These findings suggest that the applied strategy is effective, low-cost, and environmentally friendly, offering a practical model for sustainable grouper aquaculture in Indonesia and similar tropical marine environments.
