Peer Review Process
Berkala Perikanan Terubuk applies a rigorous peer review process to ensure the quality, validity, and academic integrity of all articles published in the journal. The review process is designed to be fair, objective, and timely.
1. Initial Manuscript Screening
All submitted manuscripts are first evaluated by the editorial team to assess their conformity with the journal’s scope, author guidelines, and basic academic standards. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be rejected without external review.
2. Peer Review Method
Berkala Perikanan Terubuk implements a double-blind peer review process, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed to ensure an unbiased evaluation.
Each manuscript that passes the initial screening is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field of fisheries and related sciences.
3. Review Criteria
Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on the following criteria:

4. Review Outcomes

Authors are required to revise their manuscripts in accordance with the reviewers’ and editors’ comments and submit a revised version within the specified timeframe.
5. Final Decision
The final decision regarding manuscript acceptance is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on the reviewers’ reports and the revised manuscript. The editor ensures that all reviewer comments have been adequately addressed before publication.
6. Confidentiality and Ethics
All manuscripts and review reports are treated as confidential documents. Reviewers and editors must not disclose any information related to the manuscript under review or use the content for personal advantage.
